I always knew that I wanted to help people feel good about themselves. But first I had to learn how to accept and believe in myself—something I continue to work on in my daily life.
Graduating from UCLA and earning my Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University helped inspire my life choices. It paved the way for my path of self-discovery, ultimately informing the work I do today. Learning, growing, and making positive changes definitely takes willingness, time, and vulnerability. But the healing that comes is so worth the effort.
Over the past ten years, I have worked with teens, adults, and families, helping them to examine and express thoughts and emotions, build more effective coping and communication skills, and improve interpersonal relationships. I have assisted them in solving problems, identifying and utilizing their strengths, and reducing conflict, stress, and worry in their everyday lives.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I developed educational curriculum and innovative multimedia products for kids and taught children with special needs. Today, in my professional and personal life, I use my heart and skills to be the best clinician, mom, wife, and friend that I can be. And I am sure now, more than ever, of my dedication to helping all of the people in my life feel good about themselves. My hope is that they feel accepted and understood and truly know they are not alone
I believe that you are exactly where you are supposed to be for today. And when you travel on your own path of self-exploration and discovery, I will meet you right where you are. Some of the areas of focus that can be addressed in our work together include:
There are many wonderful things to come! And I would love the opportunity to work with you. I offer 45-50 minute traditional in-person sessions, as well as video online sessions. My session fees vary depending on the length and type of service, and can be discussed during your free initial phone consultation. I do not directly bill insurance, but provide you with a superbill at the end of each month for insurance submission.
